The post herein is all the facts I would like to share while studying as the post graduate student under Graduate School of Business, Assumption University.
- International environment
You will find new multinational friends easily at ABAC Huamark campus. Most students come from China, India, Myanmar, Vietnam and Thai, respectively. Also, some exchange students are from Germany, France, and so on.
2. Instructors holding a doctoral degree
If you are imagining that all of instructors are not Thai, I have to shut down your thought right away. 99% of them are Thai and only 1% is Indian, Singaporean, or European by occasions throughout a master degree program. All subjects are fully taught in English with professional doctorates in the various fields.
3. Group assignments in every subjects
Every classes will be scored by exams and activities based. Grouping is important since group assignments make up a vast proportion in scoring. Postgrads will learn how to manage your time, obligations, conflict and stress. I found these were one challenging time in my life. I gained a lot from case study analysis, workshops, class discussion and presentation. They are pre-requisitions to step into the real working world.
4. Lack of organization
I unfortunately experienced many issues of enrollment and financing for the master degree program. Assumption used manual staff operation and AU spark(Online solution) to manage the educational system.
- Sometimes the classes timetable to be enrolled are inconsistent according to your plan, then you might have to switch to another campus for an option(Either Huamark or @Zen City campus).
- AU spark system can display incorrect tuition fees or payment deadline. You should double-check with academic staffs.
- I am the first batch of double degree student going to FOM university in Germany. Everything is new and unsteady. Because of lack synchronization between internal office and partner universities. Plans can be altered all the time. ** You take your own risk.
